چکیده
Abstract Clinical trials have shown that the storage and release of energy in prosthetic feet plays a major role resulting walking comfort for patient. In comparison to rigid multi‐axis feet, dynamic‐response show good capabilities thereby increase To accurately simulate such prosthesis gait cycle simulation, its model has represent deformation as possible. Based on theory predeformed geometrically exact beams [1], this work proposes carbon spring foot prosthesis, continuing from [3]. The is based Össur Vari‐Flex®, which been non destructively reverse engineered CAD representation various parameters. PEG: A geometrically exact contact model for polytopes
We present a formulation of non-penetration constraint between pairs of polytopes which accounts for all possible combinations of active contact between geometric features. This is the first formulation that exactly models the body geometries near points of potential contact, preventing interpenetration while not over-constraining body motions. Unlike many popular methods, ours does not wait fo...
متن کاملMultisymplectic Lie group variational integrator for a geometrically exact beam in R
In this paper we develop, study, and test a Lie group multisymplectic integrator for geometrically exact beams based on the covariant Lagrangian formulation. We exploit the multisymplectic character of the integrator to analyze the energy and momentum map conservations associated to the temporal and spatial discrete evolutions.

متن کاملGeometrically exact dynamic splines
In this paper, we propose a complete model handling physical simulation of deformable 1D objects. We formulate continuous expressions for stretching, bending and twisting energies. These expressions are mechanically rigorous and geometrically exact. Both elastic and plastic deformations are handled to simulate a wide range of materials. We validate the proposed model on several classical test c...
متن کاملIntroducing the Logarithmic finite element method: a geometrically exact planar Bernoulli beam element
We propose a novel finite element formulation that significantly reduces the number of degrees of freedom necessary to obtain reasonably accurate approximations of the low-frequency component of the deformation in boundary-value problems. In contrast to the standard Ritz–Galerkin approach, the shape functions are defined on a Lie algebra—the logarithmic space—of the deformation function. We con...
